Nathan was so nice to bring us all home a nasty cold from school on Friday. Addison started to get sick on Sunday and Bob and I followed behind. Nathan has been out of school all week and will probably stay home most of the week. The only good thing is that Bob is still home and has been able to help out as well. He has taken Nathan to see the Dr. both yesterday and today.
Addison continues to do well. She is now sleeping in her own room in her own crib. She cries once or twice during the night but we are able to calm her down pretty easily.
Bob goes back to work on Friday. It has been so nice having him home these past few weeks. The military gives families who adopt a three week permissive leave. It has certainly helped with bonding between Addison and Bob. I am a little nervous for him to go back to work, but I am sure I will manage.
You'll do fine, A. You are a good mommy, and you've never had a problem adapting to any situation.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Bob and Addison have started bonding. She looks so cute in the basket...and she looks HAPPY! I hope that Nathan has started feeling better. Colds are miserable enough, but when everyone has them it's even worse. Hopefully it won't go any further with Nathan and he won't have any respiratory issues with this latest cold. If you get a spare minute or two (I know they will be few and far between) we would love to get a wish list for Christmas, so that I can start getting everything ready to wrap for ya'll.
Give Nathan and Addison hugs and kisses from us and tell them that Grandy and PawPaw love them very much. We love you both, too, but the grandkids come in at the top of the list! :o) I check this every day..sometimes 4 and 5 times a day for updates. Take care of each other. We love you.

ReplyDeleteAww sorry to hear Nathan is sick. Makily is just getting over a nasty cold herself. It's that time of year for lots of snot LOL.
I think it's awesome Addison is already sleeping in her crib in her room. WAY TO GO! What a brave little girl she is!
You will do fine when Bob goes back to work. It will take some adjustment but I know you can handle it!
By the way....that is the cutest piece of laundry I have seen in a while!
Welcome Home! I hunted you down through Lotus's blog site. Addison looks so great and your Nathan is so cute. I hope your family gets feeling better. Ella had to get 4 shots the other day also as well as blood drawn and a TB test-she was in a wicked bad mood for a few hours after that experience. I look forward to future updates.
