Ohio

Last weekend my mom flew out from CA to OH to see Kera (my sister). Addison and I drove out to see them both. We got to meet Adam - aka the "baby daddy." Adam is very nice and he and Kera are both excited about the baby. They find out next week what the baby's sex is. We had a nice visit with the both of them. Even though there are no pics of us, my mom and I were both there. Somehow we never end up in the pics....maybe because we are always taking the pics.




Addison wasn't smiling like this after being in the car for eight hours....of course neither was I.




Child of the Corn. There is a field of stone corns in the middle of Dublin, OH. I am nut sure what the purpose is, but it was a cute place to take a pic of Addie.

Paris

Bob got the opportunity to travel to Paris last week with a US Air Force Delegation. It was a quick trip, but he enjoyed his time in France. He got to see some of the "famous" sites.

Then & Now

One year ago today, we got "THE CALL." CCAI called to let me know that they had found our daughter. I remember being so excited, nervous and thrilled beyond belief that we had maybe found our daughter. Here are the referral pics we received.





Here are pics we took today, just as it was getting ready to rain. The transformation (both physcially & emotionally) are truly amazing. We are so thankful that we received "THE CALL" when we did. Addison was meant to be our daughter.










The whole adoption journey has just been amazing. Bob and I look forward to starting the process again. Once we get some money saved up, we will begin the quest for our new son or daughter. We can't wait to add another child to our family but more importantly give Nathan & Addison another sibiling.

A Little Lovin'

Slow Days

I haven't posted in a while, but there isn't anything new and exciting to report. Nathan if finally well after this last round of illness. This is his last week of school before summer vacation starts. He will have about three weeks off before he goes to summer school for about a month - then he will be off again. I am sure I will have my hands full with both he and Addison at home together.

Addison is doing well - she is really doing well with her speech. Her receptive language is almost right on target. Her expressive language is coming along and she really tries to mimick almost everything we say. She is still struggling with most of the constanents. She does say "M" well so I get to hear Mama loud and clear.

If it isn't too hot we may try to do something semi-exciting this weekend.

Nathan Sees the Dr.

Nathan is feeling a little better today. He missed school AGAIN, but we are keeping our fingers crossed he will be back in school on Monday. There are only two weeks left of school and he has missed so much this year.

The great Dr. that we saw today prescribed a lot of LOVE and TLC. I think it is working!!
